Sometimes it's best to keep advice short, simple and to the point. Here's a short film I found on youtube. It's a useful reminder of '12 top interview tips' prepared by a recruitment business, PFJ (all rights, copyright etc acknowledged). Common sense in some ways, but useful to remind yourself of these tips before an interview! Enjoy..

We've had the latest economic figures which show that the UK economy grew by a fraction (0.1%) in the quarter Oct-Dec 2009. This means that the UK has crept by a tiny margin officially out of recession. Bear in mind these figures are always subject to revision as more accurate figures come to light. Bear also in mind that the Oct-Dec quarter is traditionally expected to be one of the strongest in the economic year, with christmas shopping etc. I wouldn't be surprised if the next quarter figures (Jan-Mar 2010) show 'negative growth' again, perhaps of up to -0.3% as people tighten their belts again after christmas. Of course, officially this will not mean we are back in recession as there will not be three consecutive quarters of economic decline. Many analysts however are now of the opinion that we are officially in the 'double dip' recession. We shall see.

Did you know?
If you have worked continuously for the same employer for two years or more, you are likely to be entitled to statutory redundancy pay.
The first £30,000 of redundancy pay is tax-free but the rest, including unpaid wages and bonuses, may be taxed.
Many people find it difficult to find time to attend interview. You should be aware that if you are given notice of redundancy, you are entitled to some paid time off to look for a new job.

5 mile trek through the snow! Finally made it to the office on foot this morning after heavy snowfall here in Glos/Wilts borders. Lanes not gritted, driving impossible. Quicker to walk. I wonder how many people will be 'working from home' today? Who can blame them.
