Terms & Conditions of Business The following terms and conditions ("the Conditions") are the terms on which yourcv.co.uk sells CV services and supersedes all other terms and conditions relating to the subject matter of these Conditions

1. PRICE AND PAYMENT
The price for the CV services ("the Price") shall be the quoted price of yourcv.co.uk and payment of the Price shall be made by the client immediately upon placement of an order. Payment may be made by credit card or other cleared funds.

2. SERVICES AND GOODS
We will exercise all reasonable skill and care in undertaking the following steps:

a) Obtain information from you about your career, your achievements and future wishes.
b) Analyse what in our opinion amount to the key elements of your CV in that context.
c) Present relevant information in a CV in a clear manner and in a way that from our experience we believe will assist you in achieving the next step in your career.
d) We reserve the right to replace an allocated CV consultant with another member of staff / associate should the need arise

3. DELIVERY
The Seller shall deliver the completed CV to an email address nominated by the client. Time is not of the essence in any transaction, however yourcv.com wherever possible undertakes to complete all assignments by prior time scale agreement with the consultant concerned.

4. RISK
The use of the CV shall be entirely at the risk of the client following delivery. yourcv.com ceases to hold any intellectual property or title to the CV upon delivery.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
yourcv.co.uk accepts no liability for the mis-use of CV products, by mis-representation of employment history, achievements etc, loss to employer subsequent to delivery. It is not our responsibility to validate employment details or to ensure accuracy of employment details other than those provided by the client for the purposes of the client.

We accept no liability for false information provided by a client.

6. FORCE MAJEURE
We shall not be liable for any default due to any circumstance beyond their reasonable control, including, but not limited to, Acts of God, accident, IT viruses, telecommunications faults, terrorism, war, civil unrest, riot, strike, lock-out, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, flood, earthquake. etc.

7. GENERAL
7.1. If any term or provision of these Conditions is held invalid illegal or unenforceable for any reason by any Court of competent jurisdiction such provision shall be severed and the remainder of the provisions hereof shall continue in full force and effect as if these Conditions had been agreed with the invalid illegal or unenforceable provision eliminated
7.2. We may without the consent of the client sub-licence its rights or obligations or any part of these Conditions.
7.3. The headings in these Conditions are for ease of reference only and shall not affect the interpretation of any of the Conditions

8. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
Each of the parties agrees that save in respect of statements made fraudulently it shall have no remedy in respect of any untrue statement upon which it relied in entering this Agreement and further that no statement or representation which is not contained in writing in this agreement shall form part of the contract between the parties.

9. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales

10. RIGHTS OF CONSUMER
Nothing in these Conditions shall affect the statutory rights of a consumer.

Cancellation & Distance Selling Regulations 

Distance selling regulations typically give a ‘cooling off’ period of 7 days in which you may change your mind about purchasing goods & services.

However this right to cancellation is waived by the purchaser if the service (of writing your CV or cover letter) is to be commenced immediately.  If you ask us to provide a professional CV service to you with a completion deadline of within 7 days of order, then you accept that you have waived your right to the 7 day cooling off period, as the work will commence immediately upon placing the order.

The supply of services and personalised goods, as outlined in Distance Selling Regulations 13, "the consumer will not have the right to cancel the contract by giving notice of cancellation pursuant to regulation 10", 13:1A and 13:1C in respect of contracts for the supply of services if the performance of the contract has begun with the consumer's agreement; before the end of the cancellation period.

Where a CV service has not been commenced, and the service is cancelled, a refund will be issued within 30 days.

11. SCOPE OF TRADING
11.1 "yourcv.com", "yourcv" and "yourcv.co.uk" are the recognised trading names used by Mr Craig Heeley t/as yourcv.co.uk (A Firm) to provide CV services and high-level executive career support services to individuals & corporate clients including career assessments, CV writing & interview technique training.
11.2 We are not a recruitment or employment agency & does not in any way offer to provide employment, job interviews or other direct recruitment services to either individuals or companies.
